Camel is known as the Ship of Desert because it is used as the main mode of transportation.For the Camel riding you need to balance yourself with the movement of the camel.
It is a wonderful experience riding through the Thar Desert of India.Other places that you can have a Camel safari in India are Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Shekhawati safari ,Pushkar,Chambal Safari and Rann of Kutch.
In the Sam Sand Dunes of Jaisalmer,the Rajasthan tourism department arranges special cultural programmes and a camp where one can have traditional Rajasthani meals.
Considering the weather condition, it is advisable to take certain essentials like sun screen, sun glasses, a hat or a turban and a lot of water to avoid dehydration. Dress according to the weather preferably loose clothes in cotton material.Try not to expose skin as it may lead to sun burn.
